Artist Statement

I am a former concept artist for film and games, and since 2024 I have been creating independently in Shanghai, China. I provide high-quality original art for publishing, games, and film, while also pursuing personal projects that I share with a wider audience.

Artist Biography

Lin Yu Wang, born in 1996 in China, is a painter and concept designer who has long resided in Shanghai. Her work explores the intersection of Eastern mythology, natural energy, and spirituality. Drawing since childhood, she has dedicated over 17 years to her artistic journey.

Raised in a family deeply influenced by Chinese traditional culture, Lin Yu believes that one’s environment reflects the inner state of mind. These early influences profoundly shaped her creative vision. She holds that every individual is unique, and that maintaining a balance of energy helps one pursue their true intentions more smoothly. This philosophy serves as the foundation of her work, aiming to bring peace, stability, and harmony to those who engage with her art.
